I’m back again and proud to announce that Ive just set my 8th Official Guinness World Record!! This time for doing the Maradona 7 Routine 10 times in the fastest possible time. The previous record was 37.4 seconds and I managed to get the new record down to 35.4 seconds. For me the Maradona 7 is one of the best drills that any aspiring football freestyler or player can do to improve their touch, awareness and co ordination. I mean it was created by none other than Diego Maradona so look no further!
Below is the video of what happened when I set this record but instead of going on about my record I wanted to really honour the way that Maradona played including one of my favourite ever videos!
I want reiterate how important close control is for any players reading this, I really feel that if you spend just a short amount of time with the ball each day you will see amazing results. When I started football freestyle I really struggled so had to be quite patient but once I developed the habit of practice everyday it soon become automatic.
To show how I feel football should be played and expressed I wanted to honour the great man ‘Maradona’ once more in a clip that just brings me joy, every time I see it I just want to freestyle and express myself with the ball. Guys sit back and enjoy the genius of Diego Maradona…
